A few words about Robin...

Robin Kasper has loved animals since childhood and always knew she was destined to work with them. She was raised on a small ranch where she had many opportunities to learn about and work with animals of all sizes. She is an accomplished equestrian and an advocate for neglected and abused animals.

Becoming a groomer was a natural fit for her nurturing nature. It is a career that she truly loves. If ask she will tell you she can't imagine having to get a "real job". Styling and pampering canines is her passion so she doesn't see it as work at all. She first decided to be a groomer at 16 when she begin showing her Doberman Pincher. Although, it would be several years before she was able to pursue grooming as a career.

Robin received extensive training as an apprentice under Theresa Murders (a groomer of 20 years) at a privately owned grooming facility in Madisonville, Texas. Although, she will be the first to tell you that her education will never end. Robin is especially talented in grooming Standard Poodles, Labradoodles and Goldendoodles!

She continues to attend grooming seminars and training classes every year to stay on top of the newest techniques and trends in the grooming industry.

Robin is a member of the NDGAA and she intends on Completing her Certification as a "Master Groomer" in the Sporting, Non-sporting and Terrier groups by 2014, an accomplishment that any good show groomer will tell you takes patients and many years of training to accomplish.

Master Groomer is a title awarded by the NDGAA after completing and passing 2 phases of testing for each breed group. Testing for this title is only held in certain locations at certain times and requires that groomers have access to particular breeds with significant lengths of hair growth. Preparing for and achieving this title is not for the average dog groomer.

Many groomers may say they are Master Groomers but unless they can show you Certification from the NDGAA then they have not tested to the standards required to use the title of Master Groomer.

You can rest assured that when you visit Doggie Styles Salon and Spa your cherished friend is in the best of care and will be perfectly groomed to your specifications.
